As Senior Director of Product Development at Global Health Labs (GH Labs), Carlos B. González oversees the development of a range of new products across hardware, software/AI, and in vitro diagnostics. In this role, Carlos ensures each product is appropriate for its intended end user, often healthcare providers in low- and middle-income countries. He also leads partnerships and rigorous processes that drive clinical validations and regulatory approvals, including by the US FDA.

To GH Labs, Carlos brings more than 25 years of experience in translating medical device and pharmaceutical technologies into commercial products through work at Roche, Great Basin, Abbott, and Siemens. Most recently, he served as Principal Consultant for CG Research, supporting organizations – like GH Labs – overcome new product development challenges.  

Carlos received his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of California – Davis, with an emphasis on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS, microfluidics, MOEMS) for biological and optical applications.
